the aperitivo table.
Sold, sorry.
when in milano, do as the milanese do: have a blue hour drink. we’ve understood these tables were produced by cassina in the fifties for a cafe bar in milan. they are heavy and solid with their cast-iron legs and the central turned wooden column – but also elegant with the rather thin floating tabletop, covered with formica laminate in a fantastic blue colour.
cassina, founded by cesare and umberto cassina 1927 in meda, italy, is a famous furniture company until today, specialised in high end designer furniture. with the „cassina i maestri“ (cassina masters) collection they have the rights to products designed by le corbusier, pierre jeanneret, charlotte perriand and many more designers.
cassina coffee table in wood, formica and cast iron, italy, probably 1950s. metal label reading „figli di amedeo cassina, tel 7228 meda (milano)“, h: 70cm, d: 80cm
