The Office Club.
A management consultancy in Munich commissioned us to customize their „lounge floor”, including conference spaces as well as relaxed meeting areas. It’s always difficult to give office floors a more homely, personal atmosphere – away from desks, computers and filing cabinets. Our task included concept development, recommendation and search of objects – and of course the attention to detail.
Our inspiration was „Munich Disco“, the historical and current Munich nightlife, music, bars & clubs. We introduced handmade translucent resin panels by Italian artist duo „Draga & Aurel“ as room dividers, separating different usages but leaving them visible – just as you can catch a glimpse of the dance floor from the bar area in a club. Also designed by Draga & Aurel are the “Jud” wall lights – hung horizontally as a first – adding to a more clubby feeling across the room. We also provided interior pieces like the “Dreams Cabinet” by Cristian Zuzunaga for BD Barcelona, floor- and table-lamps by Marset, vases by Utopia & Utility and a Tecta M4R console-trolley with vintage bar accessories.
As a focus point in the lounge area we recommended a mirrored digital light object by Munich artist Alexander Deubl that radiates high-tech modernity – and a bit of fun at a closer look. The club theme is then rounded off with the distinctive style of a „Radiofonografo“ sound machine by Brionvega, originally created in 1965 by designers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni. And of course, we also selected and purchased a „basic collection“ of vinyl records to get started right away with the first evening session in the new space.
